What we do
50LUX is a lighting design studio based in the Netherlands. We create meaningful and atmospheric light experiences for museums, exhibitions and experience centers. Light is our language, and we use it to reveal what matters most in a space. Our focus is always on finding the essence of a project and translating it into an experience that visitors feel as much as they see. Collaboration and looking beyond our department are what truly creates the magic.

Why we do what we do
We believe light has the power to change how people perceive the world around them. A well-lit space doesn’t just illuminate. It guides, evokes and connects. Our aim is to deepen the experience of visitors, drawing them into stories and giving objects, ideas and spaces the atmosphere they deserve.
We design with intention. Every beam, every shadow, every transition in light is a deliberate choice. To create moments of wonder, to invite curiosity and to leave a lasting impression. This is how light becomes more than illumination. It becomes an integral part of the experience, enhancing rather than overshadowing it.
